I had to look back through my previous posts to find the last time I'd added anything to my list of 'Gifts'. Shamefully it was all the way back in October! I can honestly say that it's not because I haven't found myself thankful for any number of things along the way, but rather that I don't always take time to list the things I'm thankful for...or rather I make posts specifically stating the things I'm thankful for, as opposed to a once a week effort. However, today I was reading through some blogs I follow and was reminded afresh of the privilege to make a list. Whether my list is long or short, there are definitely things I can be adding to it each week.
And so, to continue my list of gifts....counting from 1 to ???....
191. Warm peppermint tea as I wind down for the evening.
192. The extension table on my sewing machine, such a blessing.
193. Mail!!!! How exciting!!!!
194. Friends from afar sewing something special for me.
195. Another finish...sew happy!
196. Tears of thanks, unexpected, touching my heart.
197. Needed naps, after sleepless nights.
198. Generous strangers - I won this entire quilt kit in a giveaway at Diary of a Quilt Maven and I'm so touched!
199. Dentist visit with no cavities!
200. Warm, relaxing baths.
201. Bumping into old friends and enjoying lunch together on the fly.
202. Delicious desserts sent home from a loving sister.
203. Saving money on haircuts.
204. The love of my Father.
205. Starbucks Peppermint Mocha ~ and finding out that it's not a seasonal drink...they have it all year!!! =)
Today alone has been such a blessing. I am thankful that I was able to accomplish so much of my work and get a much needed nap too. God is so good and we have so much to be thankful for if we take the time to count even the little things and give thanks.
