Thoughts On Peace

I was working this morning, editing a message from a couple weeks ago, which I missed whiledropping my husband at the airport for his trip to Dominican Republic.  The message was on the thought of Peace.

One specific point was very interesting to me.  Here's the excerpt from that message....

"God wants to give you peace.  What does peace do? Ephesians 2:14 says, 'For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us'….I know that this is speaking of the Jews and the Gentiles, but it was quickened to me that it is also between people.

It may be that there is someone who is antagoinistic toward you...there’s a wall between you...there’s a wall of offenses between you and you cannot be united.  He is our peace and the peace of God will break down that wall of partition, brick by brick so that you can be united and at unity with your brother or with your sister.  It says in the book of Proverbs that when our ways please the Lord, He makes even our enemies to be at peace with us."
Dr. Brian J. Bailey
As I can totally relate to being in this situation, over a long period of time, I was reminded afresh today to pray that God would bring His peace.  I don't want anything to keep His presence from my heart and life; His peace from my home.  I will continue to do my part, as the Lord has already long ago quickened to me.  I will trust Him to do the rest of the work.

God bless you with His peace today!

  2. I'm so thankful for God's peace. And the older I get the more that I want to be a part of that peace. I don't argue or even debate ideas anymore. No one ever sees Jesus in an argument. They see Jesus in love and PEACE.

  5. This was a very good reminder, as I am in a situation with a Christian lady and the word peace would be a great way to deal with her.

    Thanks
